About

11th Forensic Engineering Congress

ASCE commissioned the Forensic Engineering Division  (FED) to enhance the body of knowledge within the civil engineering profession regarding the investigation of failures and performance problems within the built environment. Since its inception, FED has continually sponsored the widely-read Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities, published numerous books and guidelines, and presented many workshops and seminars to aid both practitioners and academia. FED continues to develop practices and procedures to reduce the number of failures, disseminate information on failures and their causes, provide guidelines for conducting failure investigations, and provide guidelines for ethical conduct in forensic engineering.

Each Forensic Engineering Congress, with this being the 11th, serves as an opportunity for architects, engineers, scientists, lawyers, and insurance professionals to enhance their knowledge and understanding of civil engineering works, their performance issues, and state-of-the-art investigative tools/procedures.
